Daily Bible Verse

Trivialize even the smallest item in God´s Law and you will only have trivialized yourself. But take it seriously, show the way for others, and you will find honor in the kingdom. - Matthew 5:19 The Message

How To Know God

Can there be a more important question than, “How can I know God?”

We often overlook the obvious in life.  God loved mankind enough to put us in the perfect environment to survive.  He gave us everything we would need to live and to live well.

God is not hiding from anyone.  He has made Himself plain to all who will believe.  How can we know God?  The truth is, God wants Us to Know Him and His Plan for us more than We Want to know Him. All you have to do is look.  Jesus said in Matthew 7:7-8, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

My favorite verse is, John 3:16-18, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.  He that believeth not is condemned already.”

God saw that man was condemned and figured out a way to change that condition.  He sacrificed His Own Son to have a relationship with all who believe.  Romans 8:31-32 says, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

  1. Start by praying and asking God to reveal Himself to you more clearly than He ever has before.
  2. Believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
  3. Believe that He died on the cross as the ultimate and final sacrifice for all of your sin.
  4. Believe that God raised Him from the dead (which was witnessed by over 500 people).
  5. As a result of God’s grace and your faith, everything that you have ever done wrong – every mistake that you have ever made – has been forgiven.
  6. Then start reading The New Testament of The Holy Bible.  Start in the Book of John.  Read about the life and works of Jesus Christ.
  7. Then keep the commands of Jesus Christ by loving God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength, and by loving others as you love yourself.

The more you seek God – the more you will find God.
